NICK NAMED VIRTUAL ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE AT UNIVERSITY OF THE PACIFIC CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC
“University of the Pacific's Conservatory of Music is proud to announce the appointment of nationally recognized tenor Nicholas Phan as Virtual Artist in Residence for fall 2020.
San Francisco based, Phan is described by the Boston Globe as “one of the world’s most remarkable singers.”
During his appointment at Pacific, Phan, who writes candidly about music, bias, and their many points of intersection, will speak about his own experiences as an Asian American singer managing the biases of the classical and operatic worlds. He will also coach Pacific’s student singers in virtual masterclasses and lessons, and speak about the ways in which his own commitment to artistic citizenship informs his career.”
